Food Styling Adventure

Hi all! Just a quick excited note to let you know that I am off on a food styling adventure that I heard about through fellow stylist Kirsty Bryson! I have been involved in food styling one way or another for a couple of years now, and in all that time I have been pretty much making it up as I go along. I have developed my own little systems and ways of doing things, I even have a check-list to make sure I haven't missed anything before I start taking photos (ah yes control-freak strikes again), and I have a workman's tool box stocked with paint brushes, tweezers and cotton buds amongst other things to help me keep things looking good. This may sound weird but you know, it does make a difference! (If you need convincing just google 'pasta recipes' images to see what I mean...)

Anyhoo - I am always keen to learn, and trying to get better so I am all booked into Sydney Cooking School (surprisingly enough, in Sydney) for a two day course on the 9th and 10th of November. The tutor is Denise Vivaldo an author and total guru in the fine art of food styling so I am looking forward to getting lots of new tips from her. If anyone is interested in checking it out head along to the website here for all the details...maybe I'll see you there!!!
